Rented ‘Made in America’ about the US trying to stop communism in Nicaragua and how the Iran-Contra scandal went down with the start of the South America drug trade. Interesting movie but it just makes you hate politicians and the way we get involved in countries we don’t belong. It shows a big portion of the drug trade taking place in Mena, Arkansas.

Watch "Darkest Hour" last night. Pretty good movie about the first says of Churchill's time as Prime Minister. It was a little difficult understanding the accents, but other than that I liked it.

Also watched Dunkirk awhile back. Monotonous is the only way I can describe it. I've seen worse.

I saw Dunkirk a few weeks ago too. It was not a terrible movie and didn't feel like a waste of time, but it was no blockbuster. The flashbacks and flash forward of the same scenes from the eyes of different people in the scenes was kind of neat once you figured out who was who.

Yeah, I suppose so. But it was rather tedious to me.

I hate that sort of perspective switching. Absolutely ****ing hate it.

I watched "Bright" a few days ago, really liked it.
Don't ever think that because I'm peaceful, that I've forgotten how to be violent.

I couldn't watch it because of the perspective thing. A movie is typically supposed to be entertaining and relaxing, not a concentration exercise.

Ever see Hacksaw Ridge? If not, drop what you're doing and watch it right this second. Best movie I have seen in years, and is definitely in my top 5 ever. Very very graphic in some parts though. Makes the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan look like a pleasant day at the park...

I haven't seen Hacksaw Ridge yet, never think of it when I do a search on Netflix. I will make a note to see that one soon.

I looked for it tonight, not on Netflix or DirecTV yet, watched Blade runner 2049 instead, not bad, but still no definitive answer on Deckard being a replicant

You can watch it for free if you do a 7 day free trial for HBO (be sure to cancel the subscription unless you actually want that service)

    https://www.amazon.com/Hacksaw-Ridge...=hacksaw+ridge

Or you can get the DVD for $10. There's not a lot of movies I actually buy on DVD, but Hacksaw Ridge was one of them. I liked it that much.

Just saw a trailer for a new Death Wish remake starring Bruce Willis. I look forward to seeing it, the first Death Wish was gratuitous violence at it's finest, hope the new one delivers

Just watched John Wick 2, I think the first one was a better movie, but there is a enough fighting and shooting in this one to make it entertaining as hell.

went out to see Solo opening weekend ... enjoyed it and thought it was good. A couple of plot lines explained,

    - how Han ended up with the Falcon
    - how Han and Chewie met/know each other
    - the Kessel run
